Audience Research Interview
From these interviews we found that overall they expect to see guitars, the artist featured and a storyline.
They thought that our target audience was between 16-24 (both male and female).
Those who enjoy indie pop like it as its relaxing.
Conventions they usually see included the artist dressed casually, guitars, featured at home/outside.
The people asked mainly get there music online or from YouTube.
They listen to music that get recommened by friends, that they see on the TV and music that is in the charts.
They all agreed that Kate Nash is indie pop and that an indie pop music video should be more narrative than performance.
From all the audience research that has been conducted we will have the main character dressed casually, and featured in a home (pub)/outside. We wont be using guitars in the music video as the song doesnt feature any. As our audience finds indie pop to be relaxing the video will have to match the songs mood so i shouldnt be over the top (information overload). The audience we shall be aiming for will be between 16-24 yr olds - mainly females
